St Cuthbert's is an all boys school in the north-east of England. We are an amiable bunch who enjoy our english and therefore jumped at the opportunity to represent our school in this BBC project. We are trying to write articles that interest us and are relevant. Consequently, we feel that they will interest you too. There are 6 Year 10 students, plus the superb duo of A level students mentoring the group and giving us there endless wisdom to help us on the day.
Third from the right An inquisitive lad of welsh heritage. At about 6ft tall he is both tall and dark but unfortunately not quite as handsome as he thinks he is. He enjoys writing the articles and takes great pride in his work. He is an active member of the team and has written more than his fair share of articles. They are both well written and concise proving his natural ability and perfectionist nature.
Second from the right An open minded youth and a keen Morrisey enthusiast, Patrick is one of the finest minds of his generation. This is only thought by two people. One is Patrick and the other very much resembles his mother. With a quiff to melt the hearts of any Jedward enthusiast, he set to work. Ten minutes later, a perfectly acceptable article is handed in. Truly, one of the wonders of the modern world! (Again, in his own mind)
Far left Head researcher, journalist, multi-talented and multi-cultured. Hispanic-croatian, he brings his diversity to the articles he writes, ranging from Harry Redknapp to researching dark matter and Space Sandwhiches!
Second from left Anchor man and all round shining star of the english department, Josh adds energy and helps to motivate the team. He has also been out interviewing and probably annoying many of the teachers. He waits for his opportunities to interview and present in a manner known only to the professionals. He even chipped in with an article of his own and therefore lowered himself to the level of the rest of us mere mortals.
Far right A thoughtful and often misunderstood visionary who lives in the moment and churns out work at an alarming rate. He has written most of the articles or been involved in them in some way so he is the lead journalist, much to the annoyance of Patrick. Thomas has also been a "roving reporter" interviewing both student and teacher alike in his quest for excelence, which unfortunately, is yet to be completed.
Third from left A technological wizard and a born leader of men and a veritable powerhouse of the written word, the only thing stopping him from a future as the next Oscar Wilde is his sloppy handwriting and short attention span . Ooooh a squirrel! At the same time he is generally shunned yet secretly magnificent member of the group, he is ofetn under appreciated. He spends his time twiddling his thumbs mostly then flies into action when an article is finished and needs uploading/editing.
